Sudbury Curling Club Junior Program
Children from ages 5 – 16 are invited to join the Sudbury Curling Club’s Junior Program where newcomers can learn to curl and those who have some experience can improve their game. The program consists of off- ice warm-up exercises, followed by on ice instruction and games. The 2019/20 season will begin on Sunday, October 27 th.
Little Rocks and Junior curlers will share the ice between 3:30 – 4:45. Our development program is suited for all ages and experience levels. During the year we’ll have a couple Sundays where parents are welcome to join their kids on the ice. Also this year we are planning two youth club bonspiels, allowing junior curlers to play in an organized but fun environment.
The Curling Club supplies brooms and sliders to anyone who needs them,. Children should dress in loose fitting clothing in layers and bring clean running shoes to wear on the ice. Children are highly encouraged to wear headgear while on the ice; there are many options for protective headgear including using their own bike or hockey helmet. Parents will be encouraged and asked to come out on the ice and assist.
No curling experience required, the club coaches can provide direction.
The cost for the program is $125.00 plus HST (141.25) for ages 5-13 and 150.00 plus HST and
NOCA dues (169.50) for ages 14-16
